Since it's kind late I will write my list for tomorrow.

cut up and package chickens.

feed store

pick up free pulp

house chores

pick garden

people store for lunch stuff.

Clean up yard from processing

run dehydrator

Oooops that's more than 5.

:hide

Well it is Monday. :idunno
I love making list. All Monday is done except the Dehydrator.

So Tuesday....
Load up dehydrator.
Normal house chores. Laundry, sweep, dishes etc..
Spend some time in the garden. Plicking, weeding and watering.

Maybe I will work on 6 yo room. She needs her clothes purged and bedding changed.

Sounds like a good start.

Edited to add......Azure Standard order is now coming between 2-5. Worst time possible.

I'm joining in - maybe I'll be more productive tomorrow if I have a list and am accountable to someone other than my DH :P

For 9/20/11
1) Move remaining unpacked boxes from living room to spare room upstairs. If we haven't needed anything in those boxes after a month, into storage they go. Halfway done.
2) Find feed stores that sell organic grain for chickens. Compare prices and order if necessary. Done
3) Clean out the brooder. Done
4) Pay some bills - :rant Done
5) Spend 1/2 or so in some devotional time :) listening to music, reading The Book, praying whatever I feel led to do....Done

Have a great day tomorrow everyone :woot
Didn't get everything done but much more productive than Monday :)

Wednesday's list:
1) Take DH to MD appointment.
2) Pick up CSA groceries.
3) Attend a canning/food preservation class.
4) Take a few more boxes upstairs.
5) Send my sponsored child a letter.

Not much time for all I want to do....
1) get hair colored (gotta get rid of some grey)
2) trip to next town over to see Buddy at the trainer
3) hopefully time for a nap before work

Thursday I am hoping to do what I was supposed to do Tuesday :D

Monday's list was a breeze! Tuesday's list ...

1. Finish cleaning kitchen
2. Ready processing station
3. Clean 8 meaties
4. Make Post Office run
5. Paint some 2x4 coop parts that are waiting in my garage
... ran into some snags. For example I accidentally dropped the still hot stockpot full of scald water (complete with chicken goo :sick) ALL OVER my kitchen floor!!

I mean the floor DID need a good scrubbing, but not like this!!

For today -

1. Strip clean and SANITIZE the kitchen including floor, cabinets and walls. (Yesterday ended with a quick mop up - today we are scrubbing)
2. Make Post Office run
3. Check and feed chickens and NINE meaties selected for Thursday butcher day (of the 21 left).
4. Meet with nursing home Care Team regarding Dad's care plan.
5. Fall down in exhaustion.

my day is super easy

tons of rain here

so off to the big big mall (Bass Pro shop so hubby will go LOL)

and wander and relax and goof off today

why not right!

Uncover the tomato pots on the deck (frost again last night, but forecast for today is sunny and low 70s).

Water garden.

Bake bread.

Move all the canned jars of food that are collecting on the dining room table downstairs to the pantry shelves.

Can chili (beans have been soaking since yesterday, just need to cook up the ground bison and veggies and get it all canned)

Can you share your method for canning chili please? All the recipes I see call for adding the beans at serving time, but I would love to include them in the canning process. Do they stay firm?

Same here on the recipe front so I'm actually just winging it with my usual chili recipe and soaked overnight dry beans. I'm going to leave extra space and make it more "saucy" than usual like when I can baked beans, so that the beans have room to expand and suck up water. My baked beans stay firmish, certainly not mushy, so I'm hopeful that this will work ok. I'll post my results :)
