Did you know that you can use the dandelion root as a vegetable? Just chop it and add to soups, stir fry, etc.
This was news to me.

I only knew there is a dandelion cultivar that is grown for it's roots. They are dried and roasted for a coffee of sorts.

The salve and syrup are on my to-do list! Funny how people just consider dandelion a common weed mostly

DS12 drank 2 cups of dandelion tea. Doesn't like it but he doesn't like being constipated either. I suppose I will collect plenty and dehydrate them for the rest of the year.

Cant you add some mint to it to help with taste? Or does mint interfere?

Peppermint and chamomile are both also good for constipation... you could add them and improve the flavor.

I have German Chamomile growing in my garden. I started it last year and it has reseeded and come back nicely this year. It's starting to bud now!
