advice on chickens

Sounds like you have already gotten the good advice, but I use treats too. But I always use BOSS. My chickens will do anything and go anywhere for those. They recognize the sound or the smell or SOMETHING and come charging whereever I want them to go for the sunflower seeds.
I have tried herding and moving them other ways (mine are friendly) but the fastest and easiest is using food. The hungrier they are, the better it works.

I talk to and pet my birds every day! I can call them and they come running, usually because I have worms or other very tasty treats for them.


As a a side note I HAD to name one of my new hens, so I named her P'eggy Sue.
She is a Barred Rock and is THE friendliest thing I have ever seen!!
