Well, duh!!! I never thought about using an electric knife. :th That would make things so much simpler.
She was trimming corn into her eighties and oh my was she fast, even with arthritis. Part of the kernels were set aside for drying. My mom and aunts would then take the back side of a knife and rub "against the grain" of the cobs - that stuff would be added to remaining kernels for canning/freezing. Yum
