Lovin' The Homestead
We used the T-14 Purple Martin Plan book that we carry on our site and built two winch style martin houses with the pull out trays. Our martins began coming in to Texas in late Feb. and the main group arrived just after the 1st of March. We can see now why the T-14 design is so popular for the serious Purple Martin landlord. We visit often with an Amish friend who is dedicated to Purple Martins and he gave us some great tips. If we fill these up this year we will likely add the additional 16 condo compartments for next spring. Anyway it is pretty exciting to see the martins explore the new luxurious condos from the old aluminum ones we've had up until now.
