If you have a water pond/pool for ducks its easy to grow duckweed

Believe it or not I struggle to keep duckweed growing. I have an evil duck who escapes from the pen and tries to eat it all!

My "feed pond" consists of duckweed on top and rosy minnows swimming in the water. Rosies reproduce like crazy and they eat the mosquito larvae. I don't even have to give them feed. They eat the bugs and nibble on the duckweed too.

Here is my pond right before hubby drained the hot tub water in to it and killed everything

I have to start over again next year. For now I am enjoying the lower electric bill
