Does anyone know how much yield for 1lb of wheat berries into flour?
Thanks!

I would venture to say only a cup or maybe two? I grind my own flour but, I must confess, I've never ground it up by the pound. I just keep loading the grinder until I have ground enough to fill my flour jar! :)

Boy, I've done it when I buy the Bob's Red Mill bag of white wheat berries but I can't remember now.....it is about two cups of wheat berries to get about 2.5 cups of flour, so I would guess something like four cups of berries to a pound (or a bit less) so about 5 cups of flour? I just scoop the berries from a gallon jar, mostly, so I don't know the yield per pound. I guess-timate by the cup.

Oh okay!
Well, that's not bad. I keep thinking that when you grind up something you get "less" because it's ground up, but flour is light and fluffy while the berries are compact...
hahaha
Thanks so much!
