If you, are then you know we are not like the rest of the country.
While they are still flipping through the seed catalogs we are planting seeds and hoping it doesn't get too hot too soon, or have a late freeze that wipes us out. or a hurricane. or a wayward NASA rocket...
eh. It's farming.

let me know and we can commiserate. or send me to a thread that has already been started. I can slide in the side door and they will never know I am there. ;)

I'm here in sunny south Florida! Gardening here is tough...had many successful gardens in other places. NOT here however!
The best I can do is grow herbs in pot, and we have been doing well with our chickens. We have a Loquat tree that produces enough fruit to feed the wild birds, and I can steal a few for the chickens.
We have a beautiful pond that WAS full of eating size perch but then we had hurricane Isaac and it was flooded 3 feet over the banks for more then a week before the water receded, the fish apparently swam away. LOL
What's your story?
