Artificial Meat - Even more disgusting than you think!!!!

So what is the difference between a turdburger and runing crap through a compost heap, then through some nice green plants, That is eaten by a cow? Or are you one of those people that think their crap just disappears when they flush the crapper? Think about it a moment.
Well, everything gets "recycled".

I'd still not like to drink urine, even though the water I drink every day probably was, at some point. Call me crazy but ... To me, there IS a difference!

(and I know where my poo goes ... Into the septic, that gets sprayed on the grass, that gets eaten by the goats and bunnies, and turned into milk and meat ... But I still like that a lot better than the idea if pattying it up. Like I said, call me crazy ...)

;)

I would be perfectly fine if they used it as fertilizer. It's just the marketing appeal of skipping straight to a fake hamburger, especially once they add soy and other enhancers.

So this is what Japanese scientists are working on, as opposed to research on cancer or sustainable energy sources???
At this point in economy, you seriously don't find cheap food sources extremely important? lol. Food riots are around the corner. I think they're smart.

What I am wondering exactly how this scientist extracts the protein. Does he literally comb through the sewage plants with a needle and syringe or a petrie dish and slab some shtuff on it? I'd assume the shtuff goes through some sort of cleansing process....

OK - went back and read it - still nothing about how he actually extracts the proteins and stuff, but what I found most funny and odd is the picture of him with the package of "Sh!t Burger" in his hand!

So lets see. Meat made of poo and flavors made of fetal cell lines.
Oh, and that meat binder stuff.

Yeah.
:somad :sick

The difference is exactly that middle set of steps. It is a natural function that has taken place for thousands of years. It's when we start mucking about (pun intended) with it that we really start causing problems.

Hurray for better living through chemistry!! :sick :sick

Exactly noobie. Those middle steps are what protects us from pathogens. What happens when you feed cow to cow? Mad cow. I don't wanna see what happens when you feed people to people. I watch Sci-fi movies. It never ends well.

They're making a movie in the next town over from me...along the lines of some catastrophic disaster that left only a few people alive amidst a bunch of people-hungry zombies.

Maybe this guy is featured?

Well when your country gets a HUGE amount of it's meat supply from the ocean and that same ocean is FULL of radioactive waste ... yeah maybe. :/

:yuckyuck

Honestly, I think they should turn it into soil and sell it to Colorado. My gosh, we could use some soil....
