you can also get the laminating plastic from walmart for quite cheap (the self stick stuff not the stuff that needs heating) that might be another great way...

though i can imagine framed they would look awesome on the kitchen wall :D
A frame on the wall is far more convenient then a folder I would have to get out frequently :)

Yeah, whatever works for you :) I have my binder out every day, it has my recipes in it etc. I rely on it and am lost without it.

I have a binder as well, full of recipes and a few other planning sheets (never thought of using page protectors on them so I could use a dry erase marker!)

But I liked the idea of framing the "scribblemenu.jpg" weekly meal planner from BB's link so that everyone in the family can more easily see what's going on for the week. I have teenage daughters who help with dinner, and a really obvious weekly plan on the wall will eliminate the "what are we making for dinner?" question because I can just point until it sinks in.

I love my binder! When we run out of anything, whomever used it up adds it to a shopping list in the front of the binder. I've been doing my meal planning on printed monthly calendar pages (printed double-sided to save paper) but posting a weekly menu will be awesome. My binder also has all my usual recipes by category (chicken, bison, fish, pork, legumes, veggies, soups, salads, breakfasts, baking etc. and I'm currently adding all my canning recipes).

Most of my recipes also exist as scans in a folder on my computer in case anyone wants a copy or one of my own copies gets wet/destroyed somehow--years ago I started scanning my faves from my cookbooks and recipe cards to create the binder so I'd have everything in one place. I do cook by feel, so recipes are a guideline in most cases, but the reminder of looking at a recipe is a good thing and makes menu planning simple as I go through the book. I've been doing a modified "once a month" cook and freezing a lot of "ready to go into the oven for half an hour" frozen dinner dishes for the past few years (well, on and off--sometimes we get low on freezer meals and I have to catch up).

I use a white board for a weekly menu. I started that years ago, when my kids were smaller, and they used to come in and say "whats for dinner?" And then get upset b/c it wasn't pizza. lol. so i put it nice and big where they could see it and dinner wouldn't be a surprise to them. (And I did give them pizza every now and again). The white board saved alot of bickering, plus I use it as my grocery list.

I didn't look at the planners, but I use a plastic sleeve as opposed to as picture frame. I have a binder where I keep my lists and routines etc. all in plastic sleeves so that i can use the dry erase marker to check things off. :)
I plan on doing this too! I printed out a few of them and we've always got those plastic sleeves around
