Works like a charm, has anyone else used it? You take the seeds out and cut the balsom up in little pieces ,put it in a jar with turpentine and let sit for a few weeks .
Dampen a rag and lay on sprain or sour muscle , don't leave more than 5 minutes at a time. Swelling and soreness will be greatly reduced. This is from way back in the 1800's from what I learned from my friend who is 80 years old this year.I've used it on a number of occasions myself. The original is moonshine and balsom. The liquid I assume, is just a carrier. We grow some every year. It grows like crazy on vines,They say you can eat the fruit but not the seeds ,but I've never tasted it.Fruit is yellow when ripe ,seeds are red or brown when dried on the vine for a long time.

Which Balsam are you talking about? You said fruit so I am guessing you mean the one sometimes called bitter melon.

I did an internet search but can't seem to come up with anything else.
