I read something a while back that I can't get out of my head. Bamboo. I've always been dead set against it because certain varieties are so invasive. However, the new clumping, non-spreading bamboo cultivars are intriguing to me. My first thought is that what gardener wouldn't love a home-grown source of poles for garden use? For small scale building? But, what really caught my eye is that apparently in some parts of the world it is used as animal feed. Who knew?
