Bat Mitzvah Classes (PIX)

We were very blessed tonight to have our latest Bat Mitzvah condidate read from the Torah scroll for the first time with the trop (tune). She has worked very hard to learn Hebrew and to sing it from the Torah scroll with no vowels or punctuation. It is not an easy task. We were so proud of her!

I happen to go to Chabad, but I'm sort of from a traditional israeli family...and is that Torah Scroll IN YOUR KITCHEN?

Actually, we are Messianic... and we do have a good relationship with our local Chabad Rabbi. My work table in the kitchen has plenty of room and the best light for reading. Our Sefer Torah comes home with us after services. We don't run the air conditioning to the shul when we are not there, so it is better to keep it here at home where the temperature is stable all the time. It was 115 here today!
