This is the original Hawg Hut and it is now in Pasture #2 and will be home to weaned ram lambs.

So even though I still like the name Hawg Hut, pigs have moved up a notch on our little farm and now have a much nicer place to live.

How many types and number of critters you got now?

2 Hereford hogs

3 horses, 1 Quarter horse-Joe, age 29, 1 Tennessee Walker-Sparkles, age 31 and Prince, a pretty little chestnut gelding that came out of a slaughter pen, age 8-10?

6 Muscovy ducks

11 sheep counting lambs

chickens.....a whole sh!t load of 'em

3 dogs, 2 Great Pyrenees and 1 black Lab/Great Dane mix

I've had cows. I like cows. But we only have 8 acres, so I went with sheep, small livestock. Never had a dairy cow, not that dedicated to get up and milk every/twice a day.

Porcine Palace would be a good name too. I think I should get chickens and call my place the Chicken Bacon Ranch like the Subway sandwich except still alive...

I got 10 acres of prarie grass with about 1/2 acre spring fed pond that needs some hoofs but I know zero about raising cows.

I always wanted some lowlines. Cows aren't too hard to handle in general.
