Bee~ Journal of then...

Well, Bee, you can't expect everyone to understand. :P

I wish we were all neighbors, too!!

Goodluck on that broody! I hope she hatches something soon!

Tanks, Llamas, really? What would I do with a Llama? :gig

Boy do I hear you!

I was recently referred to as "one of those!

When I mentioned that I eat my hens when they are passed their productive second year the lady says "OH - you are one of those..."

I guess I have to just imagine that she means a farmer.

Yup, I just say something along the lines of: Since I choose to eat meat, I prefer to know that the animals were raised humanely, unlike what is available in the grocery store.....animals that are usually kept their entire lives in extremely inhumane conditions. It just bothers me. (Looking very sad, and a bit accusatory at them!)

I think that is what puzzles me the most about that whole thing.....I just KNOW there aren't that many veg-heads out there in the world and NONE around here....so where do they get off with the whole "I love animals too much to eat them" and then bite into a burger at MickeyDees?

A double standard created by the plastic wrap, I suppose.

Animals = Food :rolleyes:

Correction!

MOST Animals = Food

I mean, I'm not into eating dogs/cats...I'd have to be pretty starved to skin my ferrets, too.....

I'm pretty hard core.....animals equal food to me when times get tough. It would be hard, but I could definitely eat the dogs and cats. Actually.....I've been looking lovingly at Lucy's fur for some years now, imagining it on my bedroom floor....soft, white pile to sink my toes into..... :love :D

After you've eaten squirrel, coon, and groundhog....well, a big, ol' shank of dog doesn't look all that bad! ;)

Back in the days BEFORE I found out about my Celiac disorder I used to stop at McD's on my way to work almost EVERYDAY for breakfast :hu (the shame and humiliation that I feel at this point - by admitting this - is un-believable!) ....Anyway EVERYDAY I followed the SAME car through the drive thru. This car had a lovely bumper sticker. "Boycot commercial farming - GO VEGAN!"

Please ... SOMEONE ... explain to me why they were eating at a Mc Donalds?

:hu Maybe they bought the car used and the previous owner was vegan? :hu

I heard a pretty great little definition not so long ago. It was the true definition of a "survivalist".

SURVIVALIST: "A true survivalist is a person who has emergency rations for all of his pets - And considers all of his pets emergency rations!":P
