Just finished a great book, folks! Anyone looking for a book you can't put down and that leaves you feeling full of hope~Peace Like A River by (can't remember the name but I think his last name is Engel).

The sun came out today! Supposed to get around 40 in. of snow next week, if one can believe the rumors, so I enjoyed every minute of it as I was driving around to see patients. Oh, Blessed Warmth of the sun, please shine on me!

The snow is looking mighty dirty and piling up around all the towns, roadways and such.....NOT attractive!

The Bat started painting the kitchen cabinets this week and the difference is stunning! Can't wait to finish with all this painting and get busy on the outside stuff.....soooooooo much to do and so little money with which to do it!

The animals are all doing well, despite the weather...everyone is fat and sassy, healthy and ready to go.

I have so many plans for next year's winter and ideas for making everything easier, better, and cheaper all the way around.

I will be making a big investment in stock panels this year....I think they are the best way to go for garden fencing and for moveable pen configurations for the various animals I will have next year.

Anyone else using stock panels a lot? Worth the investment?

I have a few cattle panels my neighbor gave me. Those things sure are sturdy. I look forward to hearing what others have to say.

When your bat is done painting your house can she come do mine? That woman amazes me. I can't wait to see all the great thing you have planned for spring.

We made a stud pen out of cattle panels and wooden posts YEARS ago. It is still standing strong. I personally love the panels for all of your same reasons - sturdy and mobile. They also make great compost bins, and tomato trellis!

I'm thinking of hog panels around the garden and the hay and cattle panels as my dividing fence in my orchard. I love the fact that they are so sturdy and stiff, as they will add support to the T post I'm using for the fence.

I also love the fact that a single person can take down a fence made of these stock panels and store it, where as, if I were using a roll of fencing, it would be quite a chore to roll it up and lug it somewhere handy. And they store flat, which is great!

We only rent here, so I'm always looking at things with an eye that we may have to move at any time....what can we take with us? A fence made of cattle panels is highly portable and holds it's value.

In a perfect world I would go one better and top those panels with a strand of electric wire. Then they will last a long, LONG time!

Hey Bee, how do you plan to attach the panels to whatever post you use? just wondering, I love the idea of one person being able to handle the job.

Gina, I'm thinking I will use the larger zip ties...they sure are tough as nails. They may deteriorate over time but that is an easy fix. Easier to release than wire and easier to get a tight, no-slack fit on it. Seems like I use the zip ties for nearly everything around here....great invention!

Well, folks....got a court date on Tues. to watch the Toxic Twins(One of the poison bunch has stepped out of the picture....brother decided he had spent enough money, I suppose) give up their court appointed duties of Conservator and Guardian of my father. I really don't trust that this will be the end of it and I don't expect things to go smoothly in court. I've learned that a snapping turtle doesn't let go it's grip until the sun goes down and these folks have a lot of hate stored up in what they use for a heart. :/

I guess I don't trust that justice will be done anymore after last time, so I will pray and watch. Mom has been through enough on this but I'm not the one that decides what is enough in this world....everyone has a lesson to learn by hard times.

Your prayers would be appreciated but it's kind of hard to know what to pray for now.....I guess I will just be praying that Dad will be able to finally be moved from the mental ward and into a nursing home, and that Mom will be restored to her rightful place as his caregiver, if it is God's will that this should happen.

Today was a beautiful day and the snow has melted quite a bit....gave us a little breather before this big storm that is supposed to move in tomorrow.

I will be praying for His will to be done. He always knows how to handle those sticky situations the best!
