Beeswax lotion question

Borax will help keep the lotion emulsified (keep it from separating) but it is drying to the skin, so use it in small amounts. You may want to leave it out of any lotion for the face, just use it if you will need the lotion to last a long time without separating. I prefer to just make less, enough to use up quickly, or give jars away if I make a batch that is too big.

The original recipe ended up being too solid with all the beeswax. I reduced the wax to 1/2 oz, and then added another oz of water, and it came out very nice.

Good to know about the borax, thanks! I am mentally preparing myself to start experimenting in January when I embark on all my new crafting things.
