What would you say are the best grains, etc..to choose for long term storge...? Okay, i'm talking food grade buckets with gamma seal lids, mylar bagswith said grain in the buckets sealed properly, oxygen absorbers, throw in some DE for weevils and such..On many survival sites you see products that are good for storage for 25-30yrs...! Okay they may be stored in #10 cans, and church groups like the Mormons do this. But for those with no canning machines, how long can we store these things using the method i described above. I'm thinking hard red & white wheat will last the longest if done right.correct..? Then white rice and oats...I love brown rice, but know with its high fat content it can't compete with white rice. Does anyone know of a link that has details on this subject..? Thanks..Kevin
