i work at a boarding kennel now, and the owner uses wood stove pellets for her cats, and our guest cats. i am waiting for us to finish out the box we have of actual litter and we are switchin to pellets ourselves!!!!! with 7 cats, a 50lb bag was lasting a week!!! one of the other girls says her 50lb bag with 2 cats is going on a month now!!!

@ashlylove1 as far as cost how much is wood stove pellets? I get pretty cheap litter now but for future might like to switch over to that, especially if we get our land so we can save on garbage.

I've heard of people using the pelleted horse bedding but not the fuel pellets. I think I heard there was something in the fuel pellets that could create a problem, but I'm not sure. Have you heard that?
