Here is a simple olive oil and vinegar dressing I've been enjoying with my salads , in case you'd like to try it:

- 3 TBSP olive oil
- 1 TBSP chive blossom infused vinegar
- Pinch of salt and pepper

If you want to add a some complexity, you could optionally try adding 1 tsp mustard and 1/2 tsp honey, though I'd recommend tweaking the amounts to your own taste.

well this morning I had a chore list, dog, dishes, coop, goat, weed garden and maybe fill in direct seed something, ,
mow, clean bathrooms, water garden, And of cores all the little in between puttering.
Well, I got up to weed the garden, I got it 3/4’s done-
and stopped to helped DH dig up grass for where the PT 4x4’s for the foundation of the greenhouse will lay ,


It’s 2:30 so,,,,, break time and then go finish weeding the garden and then water it
all the rest will be for later or tomorrow

Coffee is much appreciated this morning. Inhaling the first cup - the next cup will be to savor, lol.

Rain started yesterday evening...off and on all night and still going.

For many, that rain would be a huge blessing. Savor it. The southeast is having a major drought -- big farming disaster. Crop losses. It's something everyone will feel at the stores come summer & fall. NC, GA, FL...serious setbacks.

I'm seeing some yard gardens this yr that weren't as used last yr. That's a good thing. Been overly dry here, very unusual. My pastures are beginning to feel it. I'll walk the far back fields over weekend to see how they're holding up. It's time to open them for the goats, let top ones recover. They'll do some tree branch trimming for me, too

How big will your greenhouse be? Right by the garden, too

the foundation [DH decided] is 11X7.5 which will allow the 8foot sheet metal roof an overhang . The sliding glass door will be facing the driveway end and the other 3 sides will each have 2 windows. We do have one big big window but we decided to just use the 2.5X6 foot ones.

Definitely! We've been in drought also, so it is much needed and appreciated. Don't love the mud, but it's a necessary evil in these circumstances.

Good sunny morning, good coffee, Count my many Blessings, on this day in 2024 we were in the ER for 9 hours, PTL I have have been given my DH for 2 more years. It has been a very stressful 2 years. We are still not treating him with traditional oncology. I know he is in the Lords hands and I say yes Lord to what ever comes and put my trust in Him, but my heart is still ,,, heavy.
