Caught an intruder in our house today!

I managed to snap his picture with my cell phone before I chased him out the back door with a broom and bath towel.

Here's the perp:

Poor little guy was scared to death. My cat and dog were determined to have him for lunch. I can't figure out how on earth he got in. Every door and window was closed.

I threw a bath towel over him and swept the squirrel and towel wad out the door. In retrospect I can think of a thousand reasons not to try that approach again, but I couldn't think of anything better at the time.

Boy did you catch my attention - glad it was just one and not part of a squirrel gang. I bet he came in through the attic if you have above ground wires.

Poor little guy! Glad you're both okay!
I remember a call I got from my husband and now 26 year old son who was a teen at the time.....they called me cause they didnt know what to do...a squirrel had gotten into the house and drowned in the toilet!
I asked them not to flush, take the squirrel out of the toilet, wrap it in a towel and I would take care of it when I got home. I dont know what else they thought they were gonna do?
Good job getting him out safely! And that is one FAT squirrel too!
