It's Tuesday March 5th and there is still some snow on the ground. But here I am watching the weather like a hawk, just waiting for a window to get my hands dirty in the garden.

I took 1/2 day off work Thursday March 7th to set out my "seedlings" into my spring garden. I'm taking my chances with the weather guessers.

I got to at least get the onions and broccoli planted. I can't raise the lights up any higher on the bottom row of my seedling table.

Depending on how fast my daughter and I can work, I would like to get the cauliflower cabbages and brussels (middle row) planted also. Its a lot to set out in a afternoon though. But its beyond time to set the babies free.

I'm one sick puppy that's been smitten by the gardening bug.

Have you hardened them off yet????

Nope... Look at the weather guessers forecast above. Some years I harden off other years I don't. It all depends on the weather, clouds and temperatures. Two days of rain and clouds then two days of mostly sunny.

We will most likely will get the cauliflower, cabbages & brussels set out Monday afternoon & evening (I may take another half day off from work Monday) then its 3 days of clouds and or rain.

Small tiny windows but a guy has got to take every opportunity he's got.

You're a lot braver than me! I"m behind about two weeks on my plants. The broccoli and cabbage are just now sprouting. I like to wait a little longer I guess.

Seedlings are looking good, CC. Hope the weather cooperates for you!

Looks great! I'm more than a month behind. I have everything ready to start setting seed - except the potting soil I bought yesterday is still frozen! It's in my kitchen. I might be able to plant tonight.

Here's my little 25'x50' spring/fall garden, nice and cleaned off from a few months ago. It looks lonely and dead doesn't it? :( The pasture still has a little snow on the ground just on the other side of the first creek. But its warming up... It's sunny & 27 degrees already :)

Been looking forward to getting my hands dirty in the garden. This time tomorrow I'll be in the garden :celebrate

We have over 2 feet of snow blanketing everything, some places we have 3' drifts and I am not talking about where we pile snow from the driveway... I see a couple of spots where the dogs may be able to cross the 4' fence to have a "fun day" in the neighborhood. I will have to get out there and knock down the snow along the fence.
AND
We are forecast for a snowstorm Saturday night into Sunday. blah .. so done with the snow!!

I hear you. We don't have any where near as much snow as you do. Total snow fall has been down a bit this year, but we've been hit by bitter cold during the latter part of the winter.
