Sometimes I don't know what's wrong with me. I have 12 of these tender delicious CCX in the truck with the heat on while I fix them up a temporary tub for the night. I guess they will go in the barn 8x16 tack room tomorrow. What the heck is wrong with me? Raising meaties at the start of winter. But they were only .50 each and oh my they sure are delicious.

Me? I wouldn't have needed to get them on 2nd trip -- they would have been with others already!

You will mellow. I passed up a group of free hogs today, after I talked to myself a while. 😁

You needed those CCX. Winter is cold, nasty weather. If you didn't have the CCX to keep you busy keeping them fed, watered and alive, you might get bored!
I reckon... I'll put them on 12h on 12h off feed schedule with 24h water and Bragg's ACV. This schedule seemed to work well in the past. It's keeping them warm that I'm a little concerned about. I guess I'll run a space heater and 250 watt heat lamp for them.

Couldn't think they of a better place to be a stinky meat chicken for 8 or so weeks. 8'x16' secure tack room inside the barn, a cement floor, nice thick layer of hay, 2x 250 watt heat lamps, food and water, heck they even have a window if we get any warm days and for ventilation when needed. What more could a cornish cross want?
