we have a local fence company that went out a business here. They through all types of fence scrap into the dumpster behind they place. The dumpster is shared by our mechanic, we called him to see if we could scrounge fence out of it. He said sure but he had put some big stuff in last week and did not know what we would still be able to get out. We were able to get about 40 ft of fence for free! Hubby is gonna go back tomorrow after work and see if he can get some more but he is gonna take a set of cutters with him. So that he can cut it apart where it is under engine parts and such that he can not lift.

yeee free goat fence! :weee

I got a free chain link dog kennel a few weeks ago that is now the chickens "run". All I had to do was disassemble/move it myself.

I'll use it to add to the goat yard. Chain link works great for that. We have a bunch of dog kennels for chickens and for our dog so I am always on the look out for free ones. :)
