But WZ, are you telling me that quail eggs are actually EDIBLE? NOOOO! The only edible eggs come from CHICKENS! Any other kind will make you SICK!

(Laura, who wants Jumbo Brown Cotunix quail really bad!)

Hee hee hee. I know we are laughing, but stuff like this almost makes me want to open a farm camp so city kids don't end up believing dumb things like this.

I had a person think that duck eggs taste great but there was a double yolker and that was "too gross to try duck again."

Roxi has laid several double yolkers. I hard boiled one, sliced it so you could see both yolks, and put it on the top of potato salad. Everyone thought it was neat.

how do you know it has a double yolk?
The size. Those suckers were huge! Plus, if you can get the light just right, you can see them w/a flashlight.

Every time I've gotten a double yolk it was one of the first eggs a bird layed and were huge eggs. Once I got a f@rt egg and then a double yolker from the same duck.

Sorry, don't mean to hitchhike the topic of biosecurity, which is more important than double-yolk lore.

So to hitchhike a thread, do you stick your thumb out and hope someone else will write what you were gonna say? :)
