Cilantro-phobia~Why cilantro tastes like dish soap to some (not to me)

the rest of my family likes it, but me...BLEUGH! i always ask when i go for mexican if its used as a garnish and if so hold it...
someone else can have it, i dun want it lol

Great artical! Very interesting. I can tolerate just a small bit in Mexican food, but it does smell and taste like insecticidal soap to me. I just find this information amazing. I never knew so many other people can't stand cilantro. I feel like I belong to a dubious club of some kind!! :/

I hate arugula much worse than I hate cilantro. Arugula tastes like poison to me.

Cilantro and parsley are best in small amounts.
