Clever, fast way of separating kernals from cobs

Have you come across this before? Seems like an easy, fast way to "shell" corn (I think I'd definitely use only new, very clean channel-lock pliers).
I haven't tried it, but I tend to think fresh sweet corn might just mush up. Might be better for application with flour corn, mature dent corn, or flint corn.
 
That is so cool!!! I had to watch it several times. I bet before you have a bucket of shelled corn, that first few flies everywhere. I can't wait to plant corn so I can try this.

Fresh corn would definitely mush up, but dry corn--this is a labor saver!
