The ducks which I was politely told are Pekin Ducks

Doing some projects around the farm. For some reason I started thinking about the good ole days of non-battery operated power tools. Yep we most definitely got it easier nowadays. But when I need serious power, it's back to air, electric and hand powered tools.

Prayers and support to all the families affected by hurricane helene.

Jesus is Lord and Christ ✝️

Today is mow around barnyards, with grass catcher attached, to empty into a burn pile in middle of garden area. Stuff I'm cutting I don't want to lay around. Time to straighten some posts...crete them tight. Have couple fiberglass panels on barn roof to remove and up the new tin. They've done well for 25 yrs but degrading. The tin? That part still looks new. Using same type on these replacements. Was too hot or too wet, or had job work last 2 months. So, new has set waiting. 😉

Grass should be dried off soon, so I can mow.

Does that mean the barn will be darker? Fiberglass let some light in???

The idea at build was light. But I have a row of window the entire length of each side of barn, 5.5' from ground. And fully wired with lights, sockets for more of whatever needed. So not an issue. Sun & weather has deteriorated the product surface. This barn also has a dug, concrete foundation and block 3 high. No loft. Was set up for mini horses, so great stalls for goat kidding 😁

I'm sure everyone is aware of hurricane Milton. Right on top of Helene. Pray for Florida!

Heavy dew. Can't mow until dry -- grass very thick, so takes a while. 🤷 Not in mood for much outside this morning. Gave myself a needed hair cut while waiting for outside motivation. Hey, still a "cutting" chore 😂. Now lunch time! And have some cabbage & apples to process today. For now, pulled pork BBQ & slaw sandwich :drool
