As promised my initial thoughts. These aluminum filters are nice. Not heavy duty but not light duty either. They arrived in perfect condition. I'm showing just one but they are both the same just differnt sizes.

Hello to clean with a water hose and reinstall permanent HVAC filter.

Goodbye and good riddance to single use throw away HVAC filter.

i've not been attacked by any hummingbirds but they do at times come flying by when i'm in the gardens as they can be curious and looking for you to feed them. yes, they know humans will feed them and i do think they are not too shy about asking... it's like being buzzed by a huge dragon fly...

New AC thermostat controller throwing errors. Ugh. Don't mess or you will void the warranty. Outdoor unit looks fine. Only rain shower on radar passed about 20 miles to the south

Repairs completed yesterday. Something hiccupped in the programming setup. Free service under warranty. All good

New calf born today. Less than 2 hours old, when I took this pic. Two more calves left.

I know it's been longer but, seems like it wasn't that long we enjoyed calves births. Time flies! You've never gotten a red like the bull -- maybe 2025?

Another hot day here. They say triple digits will stop about Wed, thanks to some rain in a "cold" front. A welcome relief.

Having coffee -- lovely outside right now. 74* and a light breeze. Whole herd of goats in front field. Cat rubbing my leg, a rooster crowing away. Nice day so far. Blue sky, too...

sunny here too, a lot of dew still on the grass so i'm not mowing yet even if i'd like to be (not really, but it would be nice to have it done before it gets really hot outside). i'll just have to take breaks to cool off.

Ran a carload of cardboard to the township recycling center. Greeted by a load of trash dumped. The village where we used to live canceled their recycling program because morons were just dumping all trash in the containers. This is why we can't have nice things, I guess.
