Edit... I take that back, the calf is most definitely a girl. FB and I walked out into the pasture to go see her. When we were leaving, FB said shes following you. It's true, she tried to follow me out of the gate. That's what I get for scratching her soft hair on top of her head. She has a full wrap around white belt.

Sometimes wish hubby could back a vehicle. I always have to adjust the seat and do it. Needed to move the truck with the feed closer to the pens. He'd have moved it there but it would have involved forward gear and a couple 3 point turns and maybe spotting that close to house. I just backed it around from park spot.

I remember at 15 being made to back down grandma's drive to the road and also back over the narrow culvert between fields without going near the ditches. Changing a tire in the gravel was also required before they'd let me get a license. Then I was a gopher for them and errands. They wanted life skills and us to leave after graduation and flourish.

Hubby wasn't taught to drive by his parents. Lazy parents who couldn't be bothered because "he didn't need it". Someone taught him when he was in the Navy. His parents were not the best and there was lots of favoritism and bullying by the older siblings who were 20+ years older. Even his younger brother was better than him until he left. Then younger brother got the crap

I don't get why this keeps happening... I was in a hurry yesterday at the farm store. I went in and asked tanks' favorite cashier, if they could have a pallet of 10 bags of all purpose sand ready by the front door so they could load it up in the back of FB along with all the feed I got. Katie, such a sweet heart, made it happen for me.

I checked out and the guy was there with the forklift. We loaded feed on top of the sand and he set the pallet in the back of farm truck and I was gone. Got back to the farm and forked the pallet out of the back of farm truck. 10 minutes later it started raining hard. That's why I was in a hurry, wet feed bags are not good. FB gave me the weather scoop and she said you better go now and hurry up about it (inbetween showers).

I put up all the bags of feed and loaded up weight box or ballest as it's technically called. With 500 lbs of sand. Well guess what? I have a extra bag again :( 11 bags of sand were on the pallet. Now I have to take a bag back or pay for one bag that I didn't pay for, next week. Sure it's just sand and all but that's not the point.

My neighbor bush hogged right up next to my fence he did a real good job. I took trator down there with tank in the cab to check on the calf. It's when i noticed he had bush hogged. He said did you see that patch I missed? I said yes I did. He said well when I made the first pass two bob white quail came out of that spot and flew into your pasture. I figured they probably had a nest there so I left it stand.

Then he told me when he stopped the tractor to make sure a cubby didn't come out there, his dog jake jumped off the tractor after the two quail, jumped right over the fence into the pasture and couldn't get back out. So if you see strange tire tracks by your gate behind your barn it was mine, I had to let jake out of the pasture. I said you didn't have the key I gave you for my back gates? He said no... but I should have.

I thought it was all pretty funny. I can just imagine it would have made a good video. His dog jake a black lab, is like tank is with me, always by his side no matter what he's doing. I like it when jake comes over for a visit, jake and tank have a blast. IDK... leave the farm for a couple hours and I missed all the action 😆.
