Coffee's Ready, Come and Sit on the Porch

Yeah, I'm not a fan of 30s....40s are testy but that's my winter!! 60-70 I'm a good. We southern gals have limits 😁

Work -- been off except about 8 hrs in past 3 wks. Home all next week, then a killer week of OT. It's hard to bounce around like that 😕 I'm managing but not always agreeable. You get routines beaten up.

@FarmerJamie I'd look hard in the pantry. Bet you've got a few jars of soup already there 😋🤞 Freezer?

Winter is coming sooner rather than later. romeo is starting to put on his winter coat, he starts from his head first.

It'll definitely be a multi-cup morning. Woke up a little after 4am and fought valiantly to go back to sleep. Nope - didn't happen. Oh well, lots to do today so nothing wrong with an early start. Hope everyone has a good one!

i am purely delighted to be doing laundry (snarkazm if you didn't notice :) ). my pillows and the pillow cases i use have needed it for a while now so they finally got a good wash... some of my blankets and covers could use a wash but until i'm done with bean shelling and sorting it is kinda pointless so those will wait for a while yet.

i'll get outside today for a few hours. no rains in the forecast for the next several days and i can get some gardening in and not get fried by the heat for a change. this is the best time of the season to get projects done before the really cold weather starts up.

Flipped mattress, washed all the pillows, blankets, covers, etc. last week. 👍 Glad it's done.

After reg chores, I loaded all barns with hay -- while the herds were laying about chewing cud -- for late day/overnight eats. There's gonna be heavy rain from the NE storm arriving. Cued up the bales for morning refills. Entire weekend of rains they are suggesting 2.5". Hmmm.🥴

FB and I made our annual supply of apple sauce. Tank doesn't get to help when it comes to food :(

The pristine apples used to make the sauce are pretty unique to me. The sauce is super sweet at first and finishes with a slight bit of tart. There is also a hint of yummy spice taste that I can't put my finger on. It's like a cross between ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice. FB said the hint of spice is apples  Eating a little bit of the apple sauce also made me feel warm. I'm really looking forward to eating it over winter during a cold evening.

Pints are in the water bather. Apple sauce being milled, ingredients: Apples (Malus domestica - Pristine).
