The churches here have been shutting down their food pantries. Not getting any government funds to help anymore. Just not enough donations for the need.

With gov shut down, even SNAP is iffy....plus gov stopped so much funding for these food banks. I'm certain a few who go there might be ok without but, truly many depend on it. Esp some of the elderly. It's sad. I don't want to see anyone go hungry.

My not far away area is heavy military & the furloughs are a disaster for many of them. Food banks are stressed.

There was something in one of the emails we get that talked about loans for military families. Don't remember who's doing it.

We can't get meds on base right now. Mcchord pharmacy doesn't have the funds to order anything. They said can try to get things filled at Madigan. We'll just have our stuff sent to Costco to leave what there is for active duty and elderly retired.

Yum...coffee!! Slept great last night. That's unusual around here so I'm going to show my appreciation by slurping up as many cups as I can, lol.

I love coffee so much I decided to write a poem about it.

Coffee, coffee, I love you so...

Ummm, that's all I could come up with... so far!

Coffee, coffee I love you so
But you cost a lot of dough
Tea won't do it
It tastes like spit
And I need coffee to take a....

BREAK, ya'll! A coffee break!

I know that last line doesn't rhyme but... we are a family forum, lol!
