Hubby told me that singing "When the Levee Breaks" is inappropriate. It's been stuck in my head for a week. Heavy rain tends to do that to me.

It wasn't my fault and they've patched the levee with a lot of big sandbags that should hold until flooding slows and more permanent repairs can be made.

Went to bad way too early last night and as a result - got up waay too early this morning. Is 2am really morning? Feels more like the middle of the night if you ask me. So, I got up in the middle of the night and fully expect a nap or two to happen today!

In Pacific. Almost flooded the route hubby takes to work. Wasn't as bad as they feared but still bad.

Someone drove onto a flooded road in Snohomish and died.

We've survived our cold snap and our first little freeze a few days ago. We're in for a 10-day stretch of warmth. It was 63 degrees at wake up! Forecast is for 80 on Christmas day. I'm not gonna complain a bit!

Looks like mid 60 here on Christmas. Trust me, I won't complain either!! This week or so of mid winter cold is the pits! I pulled 2" water toppers out yesterday from water tubs...left from the 7-10* nights. Not impressed. Goats weren't either

50 today & low 60s back for 10 days

Yeah... cold isn't fun. I know some people like it, but not me.

We had to buy a new heater for the goose waterer. And the heated water bucket i bought for then LAST YEAR is already broke! Insane!

Wind storm last night to go with the rain.

Somehow we kept our power when most places around have lost it. It flickered off 8 times before it stayed. Graham town center (the strip malls since Graham isn't a real town) kept power so everyone from South Hill is coming for groceries and restaurants. Traffic is horrible.

Lost the little greenhouse to the wind, but silkie pens are good except a loose tarp I'm going to fix.
