A huge wind storm came thru at 1a.m.ish yesterday. We lost power at 1:30. It came back on at 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

In the meantime, we had an OSHU appt for eye oncology at 10:20 this morning. I called them to see if they were open and yes, the entire hill had electricity. Hubs is healing well.

I5 southbound was completely stopped from Vancouver down across the Columbia River into Portland. It wasn't like that when we left at 9;15, said the maps app. So once stuck in non moving traffic, I got on my phone and had apple maps get me around the mess. I had to drive on the shoulder to get to the next exit. Go ahead Mr Police - give me a ticket. Luckily, there were no patrol cars spotted. We were only 10 min late to the appt and they completely understood.

Now hubs and son are trying to start the Duromax dual fuel generator I bought last year. Gosh. It doesn't start. Gosh. Maybe wifey was right, that it needs to be started periodically to keep it in prime condition.

I took a nap. I was up at 1:30, looking around the property with a mega flashlight, then took about 2 hours to fall back asleep, then got up at 5:30 to light Mexican candles, and patrol the property again. No trees down on our lot, but plenty of trees and power lines down elsewhere. Glad I could do that, cus hubs stayed in bed, snoring...
