Been up for awhile and had a nice shower. Hot cuppa coffee happening right now. Have some cold weather coming tonight. I need to see about a few preps. Argh...

Coffee & pumpkin pie time. Light sprinkles today, off/on. Breaking daylight shows some came early this morn. Won't hurt, didn't have any plans behind feed chores. Maybe I'll accomplish something inside, or not

We got cold overnight but my weather app and my home weather station are arguing about it. One says 33 - the other says 24. I'm thinking that my home weather app is a weather wuss like me and thinks it's colder than it is!

After going outside I'm not so sure my weather station was far off in it's estimation of temperature. There was ice everywhere! Don't think that ice would have had time to form if we barely hit freezing right before sunrise. I can doubt it's accuracy - but I can't doubt the ice buildup!

We got more rain than they guestimated but, all.day.long! Light but all day. Now temps dropping. Cold wetness

we're heading into a stormy night and a half but we'll probably be ok. leaving the heat up a bit higher tonight as the last time we lost power we'd turned the heat down more and it wasn't fun at all for Mom that morning when it was cold in here and we were trying to warm the entire house with the propane fireplace. yes it could do it eventually, but it took a long time and Mom's, well, not willing to deal with that very well these days... so here we are.
likely she won't be going out tomorrow or the next day.
in the meantime i'll keep working on whatever projects and cleaning up i can get done.

After rains yesterday, temps went to mid 20s overnight. So, I'll have a little ice to break on water, then most likely some ice to dump from trough feeders 
Always fun. NOT. I just keep saying "it could be worse". Job work starts back up this week, couple days, full tilt next week. I still do it but each year gets less fun. Hmmmm. Is it "time" to stop?
