Sad thing is that mom calls me for weather report before traveling because ours is much more accurate than her local ones. Her local kept saying freezing rain yesterday morning between her and Walla Walla. They had doctor appointments in Walla Walla that morning. The small highway to Walla Walla is dangerous if it's icy, especially when the land narrows around Wallula Gap. Don't want to end up in the Columbia River.

Dad was stressed about forecast Sunday. I told him mine said no chance until afternoon. Still same Monday. It was partly cloudy with sun for the hour drive. Mom said they could see the clouds coming in as they left to go home.

Light snow has returned. The warm spell last week has spawned a lot of video on the various social media platforms of river ice breaking up and causing potential flooding concerns. It'll be a big mess if these flows don't clear out before it gets cold for a while again or heavy rains return. This is one of the reasons I like living high and dry here
