So, we had an interesting day yesterday!
First we headed to Ikea, which is located in the South Denver area. I've been told that Ikea is the be all end all of shopping excitement, so I went with my SO. It was definitely something else

There was more people there than at a "everything 1/2 off sale" at walmart! It was kind of interesting, especially since in various areas they had little display homes set up, where you could see small sqft type homes on display. Considering alot of European homes are actually small sqft homes, this was kind of interesting. Some of their kitchen set ups were pretty awesome, and gave me some good ideas for our future house. We walked away with a couple solid bookcases that are easy to take apart and put together, we are not taking them out of their boxes until we get to kansas

and, we'll be taping the instructions and the little tool that comes with to the backside of the cases so we know how to take them apart when we move again and put them back together in the new place, whenever we have to move again. We also bought some bpa free plastic food storage containers because we needed new ones and I want everything in our container cupboard to be uniform

Takes up less space this way. However, we took my car, and when we got the shelves to the car we discovered that I had to move the passenger seat a ways forward so the boxes would fit. That was cramped riding!
After Ikea we went to BD's mongolian grill for lunch. We went because it will probably be the last time we make it there for several years, and it's a special place for me/us. After that we came home to let the dogs out, grab the deviled eggs he made, and go to the store picnic. It started out as a store picnic, and ended up as a going away party for him and the assistant manager, who is leaving to be the manager at the Kansas store SO is transferring to. And people liked me! It was incredible! I never once felt uncomfortable, or like an outsider! People actually came up and made actual conversation, and not just because they felt sorry for me because I was an outsider or something! SO said people kept coming up to him and asking what I would be doing, what my plans were

I told him that was only because they already knew what he was going to be doing

It was a really fun time. And, we played tug of war, and the team I was on won twice (it was supposed to be best 2 out of 3, but when you win two in a row, there's really no point!

) so that was fun as well! And, we got to take extra food home! Score!
This morning I went and got the chickens from the processing facility. Stopped and got butter on my way home because we didn't have any, and now I have turkey in the roaster! I've had it thawing for several days, but I couldn't make it without butter to spread on top!
