Cornmeal???

This may sound rather lame and basic but, does it matter what type of dried corn you grind for cornmeal. I picked up some bulk popping corn and ground it up. I have not tried it yet but it looks fine.
Any insight on this? Thanks, gina

Works for me. I have never tried the blue corn, but heard it was good, too.

Be careful, there is a warning on my grinder "never grind popcorn". Aparently it is so hard it can damage machines. Other than that the meal should be fine.
