If my calender calculation were correct, my first litter of meaties is due this weekend!!

Then a batch coming every week. I just have three does.

I have one who is usually a good momma but seems to drag her kits out of the house while they nurse, so I put a guard on the nest. So hopefully that will help and the nest also has shavings in it to aid with keeping the kits warm.

Thanks! I hope this go aound does, last round was a failure. Lost a batch and two didnt have them. But I think I figured out what was wrong.

The first one bred didnt have them, she was bred by a new buck who had never before done the deed.

The second one had them and lost one thats the one due this weekend.

The third one didnt have them but she was the youngest and may not have been ready.

But we shall see here in a few weeks!

You should try and get them to try secretively of course....it will definitely help with your grocery bills.
