We are thinking of putting a big livestock gate across the driveway with a keep out and beware of dog sign. There are TONS of dogs coming up missing! Purebreds and mutts alike.

Double-check all your local laws - here in TN posting a "Beware of Dog" sign is an admission you own a "dangerous dog" and you will lose if sued by a trespasser who is bitten. No joke ... just another example of stupid law-making. My sign says "Forget the dog, beware of OWNER!"

My pit bulls will charge you like a rabid bull, but as soon as they get to your car they are all wiggles and giggles and try to jump in for a ride. Scare most people into staying in their car. UPS man was halfway to the house and about crap himself when he saw them comming!. Just the look on his face still makes me laugh. And the sherrif had his gun half drawn when they jumped in his cop car and sat in the passenger seat and the wouldn't get out. But my catahoulas are a different story. If they know you it is ok if they don't...and you realy have to watch the rat terrier!
