In the summer, my cupboards on the "sunny" side of the house got really hot. In fact, I had several cans of food explode (WHEW!! Really Nasty). So, I went to the dollar store, and bought several of those car windshield sun shades (the kind that is padded foil). I measured the back/inside of each cupboard, and cut the shade to fit inside the back, against the wall. I then cut a second piece (double insulation that way). I duct-taped the cut edges of the shield, and duct-taped them together inside the cupboards. The sun shades are light, and soft, and help a lot. No more blow-ups.
