That's kind of her to offer - would she make the same offer to one of your children if they were interested?

My FIL passed and this lightning struck quarter sawn red oak gun cabinet that i harvested out of my back yard in North Carolina and I built for him 10 years ago is coming back to me. I had to take it back to stop a family feud. My brother in law and most of my sons wanted it and words were getting heated. I'll be picking it up and bringing it back home sometime before Christmas. I haven't looked at it for years but one of my sons said all the keys and locks still work. I built it with lockable doors, drawers and unbreakable glass but its really more of a display cabinet than a safe. Being wood, if someone really wanted to get into it they could pretty easily.

I built it loosely based off of a popular mechanics magazine plan that my father in law showed me and really wanted.

I am sorry about your FIL passing. That is a beautiful gun cabinet, I know love went into making it.
