Which possesses a greater degree of brilliance?

1. The ability to set future goals and then achieve them through hard work and effort.

2. The ability to perceive future goals and then achieve them through the hard work and efforts of others.

3. They are the same, no difference.

4. This is too deep for me, not sure.

I think as long as you achieve your goals, it doesn't matter how.

Aesthetically, I think it is prettier to do it yourself lol. But I think there is a brilliance in getting others to give shape to your dreams, too.

the tom sawyer in me wants to say #2

the realist in me says #1

the other realist in me (oh yes there are many of us in here) says that the boss lady Dawn is realy the one that gets it all done.

Today is #4 for me.
I have to take things as they come and adapt.

The true degree of brilliance is to combine the different ways to reach your goals. If you can rally others to help, and create ways for all parties to equally benefit together from the collective goal, then you're already a step ahead. One mule can't pull half of what two can, try it and see. There is great benefit to teamwork for every member of the team. HOWEVER, if you can't get anybody to help, stubbornness to get the goal done with or without anyone else, is always good. It'll just take longer. Never underestimate the power of a determined individual though. I usually combine the two. I don't often have trouble finding help or motivating others...well unless you count my stubborn kids :P I never ask anyone to do something I wouldn't be willing and able to do myself, with the exception of only a few things that I physically can't do alone.

This is true brilliance:

Rally up others to help by offering pizza and beer as payment. Woop Woop!

Exactly!!! (also applause for rest of what you wrote, I didn't quote the whole thing cuz it's just up there a couple posts above this, but I agree with every word plus it's very well put)
