I am looking for a great recipe for dinner rolls. I am having Thanksgiving at my house for the first time. I wants to make homemade dinner rolls. I want everything to go right.
How about this one? My uncle says it's his favorite food at our Thanksgiving celebration! I have a triple batch of dough mixing in my food processor right now...
Winter Squash Rolls
cup cubed winter squash
cup scalded milk
2 t yeast
cup warm water
1 cups bread flour
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 T wheat gluten
cup sugar
1 t salt
cup oil
Assemble in bread maker. Set on dough cycle. When completed, divide dough into 12 equal portions, roll into balls and place in greased pie plate or round cake pan. Cover with oiled saran wrap and let rise until doubled, about 30-45 min, in warm place. Bake at 375 for 25-30 min, covering with foil if necessary to prevent burning. Cool on rack for 5 min, then remove from pan.
