I went to a Craft Fair/ Festival yesterday and there was 3 or 4 booths just selling dip mixes. The were $2.50 and UP per package and you still had to add the mayo or sour cream. They have the bacon flavor and garlic flavor and many others! Then they had fruit flavors like raspberry.
Does anyone have any recipes for making your own that compares to these?

Well, I don't have a recipe, really, but I make French Onion dip by adding onion powder or flakes (or both), a little garlic powder, salt, pepper, and a little parsley to sour cream. It will be mostly onion, though......maybe:

French Onion Dip

1 Tbsp onion powder or 1.5 Tbsp onion flakes
1/4 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp parsley flakes
1 pint sour cream

Usually I taste it, then let it sit for a few hours or overnight in the fridge for the flavors to blend and mellow.....ok, I always eat some first, even when it is fresh and not at its best!

Parmesan Peppercorn

1 c sour cream
1 c mayo
1 tsp salt
1 - 1.5 tsp black pepper
1/2 c parmesan or romano cheese

Again, I am guessing at the amounts. If you like the sound of these, you might make up a batch and adjust to your taste, then make up the mix. I would only add the cheese when making it though....oh, that means it is just s&p!!!
