Dirt roads have "their" place and keeping some is good. Very nice link!!

BUT---I lived on a dirt road for 15 years...yup, I finally got paved by the state last year...and I LOVE IT!
Granted the construction of the road put 1/2 inch of red clay into the pool every day...LOL...and it was covered all over the house and porch and everything...but in the end the paved road is the BEST.

I can open my windows for air now and not have tons of dust inside the house.

So paved roads have a place, but not in front of my house anymore.

I live on dirt...or around here they call it gravel. Anyway, I love it....its a symbol of true country life for me. I'm planted between 80 acres of pasture ground to the north, 40 acres of corn to the east, 30 acres of hay field to the west, the gravel road runs east/west in front of my house, which faces south. On the other side of the road? Another 30 acres of corn, with timber behind that....I love it!! :)
