thanks 4 putting up with me folks
but I do have one more question....
I brewed a pot of whitchhazel today...
the directions state 2 weeks safe in the fridge or
to add vodka for shelf life
would it matter if I used Rum???
as thats whats in the cuboard...
or is there something specific in vodka for this...
i added bark shavings too so is a bit darker in colour
so it isn't about clearness...

Maybe because vodka is clear, and it might have some different chemical properties than rum?

White rum should be fine, amber or dark I'm not sure.

perfect ....thanks moolie.!!!!..my hubbie came home with some as a christmas gift...
so some...white rum is in the cuboard..
and Rebbetzin thanks 4 trying...Years..ago I thought of making vodka
because..there is lots one can make from it...but just seemed way to complex
of a venture...
