does soda get hard with time

Read somewhere that soda hardens...what to do...put in bucket with seal? which soda? Washing or baking soda? thanks .............g

I think clumping results from humidity. If that's true, putting the soda in a good air-tight container should fix the problem.

Mine has clumps up, but it breaks apart pretty easily so I don't worry too much about it.
