Youngest daughter came over with her husband for dinner and a little Draconid Meteor Shower watching. Couldn't have asked for a better night. The sky is clear, no wind and warm enough to watch without a jacket on. We seen several with long tails. They were headed mostly south, but afew heading east and all angles in-between. Makes me appreciate living in the middle of nowhere with minimal light pollution.

It's nice to have some deep conversation while laying on your back in the pitch dark. Like make an OK sign with your hand and look through the circle of your thumb and index finger. How many stars are in that little circle and do you really think we are the only intelligent sperm in the galaxy?

Then somehow the conversation turned to the Bigfoot conference here in southern IL next week. While talking about Bigfoot and listening to coyotes howling, we found ourselves in a herd of deer running in front and hehind us. Daughter said boy that was crazy spooky. Yep and timing couldn't have been better :)

I'm a firm believer that everyone should gaze up into the heavens every now and then. If nothing else but to realize just how small we are in comparison to God's creation. It puts a new prespective on meaning of life for sure and is so refreshing for the mind, body and soul.
