Dutch oven recipe suggestions?

My husband asked if I would try roasted garlic or olives in the next loaf. Cinnamon sounds good also.

About the weather I had a hard time turning the oven on to 500 when it is 90 plus outside also but the result was worth it. Besides the family is getting used to the house being so hot from canning :hide

I have a very old, iron dutch oven. I like to cook with it in the oven to make roasts, small fowl, and over the stove recipes like Beef Stroganoff, and meaty spaghetti sauce, because it holds heat well, and is heavy and sturdy. I even wash the bottom in my diswasher, but I always hand wash the lid because dishwashing detergent dries out the handle.
May I suggest that this is the best thing to use to make bacon!
If you put the oven at 350 degrees F, bacon cooks really well, doesn't splatter on YOU, and you can easily monitor it.
